
Travel OR Nurse (RN) | Whitehouse, Texas in Whitehouse, TX
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a registered nurse with operating room expertise to support a level 1 trauma center in Whitehouse, TX. This 13-week travel assignment offers a dynamic and challenging environment with a focus on vascular surgery as well as heavy orthopedic, general surgery, and urology cases. The unit also performs a wide variety of robotic, neurological, and eye procedures, providing the chance to expand specialized OR skills in a high-acuity setting.
Schedule:
• Monday-Friday
• 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide perioperative nursing care with expertise in vascular surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and trauma cases
• Assist with complex procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, and dilation & curettage
• Utilize aseptic technique and maintain patient safety in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of clinical OR experience with previous travel nurse assignments preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong skills in a variety of surgical specialties including neuro, trauma, endoscopy/laparoscopy, orthopedics, podiatry, thoracic, and vascular procedures
• Preferred experience with pediatric and adolescent patient populations
