Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit requiring PALS and at least one year of pediatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities Work in a hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit Provide care for pediatric patients with a range of simple to complex health conditions 12-hour day shifts, 3 days per week Assignment is 13 weeks in length No local candidates are accepted within a 50-mile radius Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a designated group of pediatric patients Collaborate with physicians on examinations and minor diagnostic procedures Administer medication, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and hospital procedures Maintain accurate documentation of patient responses and changes in physician orders Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff Holiday and weekend coverage may be required according to unit needs

Requirements Active OK or compact RN license required Minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience is required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association Some computer skills necessary
