Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 03 / 01 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : / n Registered Nurse - PCU / n / n Job Details : / n • Work 36 / 36 schedule with no call responsibilities / n • Weekend coverage required : 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday shifts per schedule period for day shifts, or 6 Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts per period for night shifts / n • Floating required throughout facility / n • Patient ratios : PCU 1 : 5, Med Surg 1 : 7 when floated / n • 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours being non-billable / n • 2 years of nursing experience required / n • Accepts first-time travelers / n • Required certifications : AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS / n • Must live 100+ miles from hospital service area / n • Care for adult patients with daily census of 33 / n • Work with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care, blood product administration, cardiac drips without titration / n • Participate in nursing student support and clinical education / n • General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs / n • Drug testing must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start date / n • Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines / n / n Facility : / n This healthcare facility operates a 33-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level care for adult patients.
