Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown RN experience with travel, or 3 years PCU/Stepdown experience without travel
• At least 1 completed previous travel nurse assignment
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the healthcare facility
• BLS certification (valid for duration of assignment)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Cerner electronic charting experience preferred
• Comfortable managing high patient ratios in a clinical setting
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
• Deliver direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients in the IMU/Stepdown Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner (preferred)
• Float between similar units and campuses within a 20-mile radius as needed
• Participate in orientation and comply with all facility policies and procedures
• Work at least 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if assignment overlaps
