Travel Nurse Job Details
• Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 (West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Unit: 8 West – Cardiac Stepdown
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), including weekends and holidays
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 26, 2025
• Charting System: EPIC
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or acute care nursing
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must provide an unexpired driver’s license (address must be outside 50 miles from facility)
• Previous permanent staff or travel nurses must meet facility-specific rehire requirements
Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and respond to cardiac emergencies as needed
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
