Job Description: Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Recovery Area
Are you a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse with cardiovascular experience looking to expand your horizons? We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Recovery Area to provide specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from cardiac and vascular procedures. As a Travel Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Recovery Area, you'll play an essential role in monitoring patients, managing recovery, and ensuring optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Monitoring: Closely monitor cardiovascular patients during recovery from procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and open-heart surgery.
• Post-Operative Care: Manage patient recovery, including assessing vital signs, administering medications, and managing pain and sedation levels.
• Critical Response: Identify and respond promptly to complications, arrhythmias, or changes in patient condition.
• Collaboration: Work alongside cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to provide seamless care during recovery.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Documentation: Accurately record nursing assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in the electronic health record system.
• Equipment Management: Operate and monitor specialized cardiac recovery equipment, such as telemetry systems and oxygen therapy devices.
Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular recovery, cardiac ICU, or telemetry units.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and recovery protocols.
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
