Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/23/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 40 hours per week • Shift: 8 hours, days • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Cath Lab Job Details: • Work 8-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 5 days per week • 40 hours per week guaranteed with 1-2 night calls and weekend coverage • Patient ratios: 1:1 in procedure room; 1:3-4 in prep/hold areas • On-call rotation required: 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd or 4th weekend • Must stay within 30 minutes of facility while on call • 2 years of experience required, travel experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only) • Valid Kentucky or compact nursing license required • Flu vaccination required with no exemptions • Some Impella experience preferred • Float within scope to prep/recovery areas as needed • 24 hours of orientation provided • Two pre-approved time off periods allowed • Meditech charting system experience preferred • Care for adult and geriatric patients with various cardiac conditions • Perform procedures including left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, EP/Ablation, and more Facility: This medical center features a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory that provides advanced cardiovascular procedures and interventions. The facility offers state-of-the-art equipment including balloon pumps, Impella devices, and EKOS systems to support complex cardiac procedures. The cath lab team provides interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care for cardiac conditions ranging from chest pain and acute MI to complex arrhythmias and structural heart procedures.
