A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - CVICU Job Details: • Work in a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit providing care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients • Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 ratios for certain device patients • Required to work 2 weekends per month • Holiday obligations include 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day) • Float as needed to other ICUs and floors when required • Work with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps • Use Meditech documentation system • Must have strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience • Required skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring • Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT • Provide care for patients with ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS • Assist with central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations performed on unit • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Dress code requires black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs with scrub jackets/vests only • Unit support includes free floating charge nurse, unit secretary and Administrative Care Tech Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM, and Student Nurse Externs on variable shifts Facility: This healthcare facility features a specialized 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with 5 full-time surgeons performing high-volume and advanced cardiac surgeries.
