Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/16/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, nights • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ED Job Details: • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan • Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families • Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care • Participate in discussion with members of the interdisciplinary team in evaluation of patient care • Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues • Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care • Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities • One year of nursing experience required • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina required • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required Facility: This healthcare system is a comprehensive medical organization providing advanced clinical care and emergency services throughout the region.
