Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/16/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, days • Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Emergency Department / ER Holding (Critical Care Level) – Day Shift We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to support a high-acuity ER / ER Holding unit caring for critically ill patients requiring ICU-level interventions. Shift and Schedule • Day Shift: 3 × 12-hour shifts • Hours: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1 – 1:2 Experience Requirements • Minimum 1.5 years of recent ER experience • Strong, hands-on experience with IABP and CRRT is REQUIRED • Experience caring for patients with multi-system organ dysfunction or failure Certifications Required • BLS • ACLS • PALS (ER only) • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Required Skills and Competencies Candidates must be proficient in: • Advanced airway management • Care of ventilated patients • Arterial line (Art line) management (preferred for ER) • Central line management • CRRT management • IABP management • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • ABG interpretation • Continuous IV sedation • Titration of IV vasopressors and critical drips • Isolation precautions • ER triage skills (ER / ER Holding only) • Computerized documentation Role OverviewThis position supports a high-acuity Emergency Department with critically ill patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilatory support, and aggressive medical management.
