Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Department in High Point, NC

Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 03/17/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, nights • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required • Holiday coverage as needed • No call responsibilities • Minimum 2 years emergency department experience required • First time travelers accepted • Patient ratio of 4-5 patients • Care for adult patients in emergency department (pediatrics is separate) • Handle approximately 180 patient visits per day in 63-room/63-bed unit • Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Subject to float to any campus if needed • Must pass mandatory EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed) • 24-hour orientation required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH • Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC • EPIC charting system experience required • Previous charge nurse and Level 2 trauma experience preferred • Skills include trauma care, stroke care, cardiac care, arterial line management, dysrhythmia interpretation, procedural sedation, and ventilated patient care • Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy Facility: This comprehensive healthcare system operates a Level 2 trauma center with stroke and cardiac certification.
