Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in ICU setting
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital environment
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
• No block scheduling
• One year of nursing experience required
• Must hold nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school of nursing
• BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing preferred
• Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Assess and care for patients with complex medical problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in evaluation and planning of patient care
• Participate in patient education and assessment of learning readiness
• Consult with appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues and discharge planning needs
• Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
