Job Description and Requirements

Job Details:

• 2 years of Level IV NICU experience required
• Must have experience with arterial lines for neonates
• Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Care for neonates and infants in a 54-bed Level 4 NICU with daily census of 48
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: PALS, NALS
• Must have OR post-op experience for bedside surgical procedures (G-tube, trach, surgical sites)
• Experience with cooling procedures required
• Work with specialized equipment including jet ventilators and IV pumps
• Floating required to PICU at main campus (4 miles away) if census decreases
• Must be over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
• NURSYS reports must be submitted and up to date within 4 weeks of submission
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to stay at facility until event passes
• Orientation held 5 days a week with billable modules completed during orientation
