Schedule 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours guaranteed per week Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery demonstrates the ability to perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, reassess pain levels, and utilize appropriate pain management techniques. This role includes developing and revising patient care plans based on treatment responses and evaluating their effectiveness daily. Responsibilities • Perform head-to-toe assessments and document findings accurately. • Evaluate and manage patient pain using effective techniques. • Develop and revise patient care plans as needed. • Ensure age-appropriate care based on growth and development principles. • Administer medications correctly following the five rights of medication administration. • Formulate and activate teaching plans tailored to patient and family needs. • Operate medical equipment safely and effectively. • Lead an interdisciplinary approach to patient care as required. • Maintain effective communication with families, patients, and healthcare teams. • Manage and establish a safe care environment for patients and families. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience - REQUIRED • Postpartum and nursery experience - REQUIRED • ACLS certification (AHA) - REQUIRED • BLS certification (AHA) - REQUIRED • NRP certification - REQUIRED • Active Ohio or compact nursing license - REQUIRED • BSN degree - preferred Why ARMStaffing?
