Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. Key responsibilities include identifying patient needs, prioritizing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and managing patient care efficiently.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients through ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and advocate for evidence-based practice care standards.
• Document care based on standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties as assigned.
Schedule
This position requires a shift of 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, three times a week, with every other weekend and three out of six holidays required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience; 1+ year in a related specialty is required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• NRP certification required; ACLS and Advanced AWHONN or EFM preferred.
