Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing the core values of the organization, including delivering superior quality, treating others with respect, focusing on results, teamwork, and resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles.
Responsibilities
• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and goals related to their diagnosis.
• Provide timely updates on patient information for team conferences and document all assessments and interventions accurately.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure direct patient care is prioritized.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education starting from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers for continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Manage supplies and monitor costs while ensuring quality patient outcomes.
• Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
Schedule
This position is a day shift with a 3x12.0 hour schedule.
