Overview
Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join its Rehabilitation Unit. This role is ideal for nurses who are compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting patients in their recovery journey following illness, injury, or surgery.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing rehabilitation.
• Assess patient conditions, monitor progress, and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient rehabilitation goals.
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes, self-care techniques, and discharge planning.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies.
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years recent rehabilitation or med-surg nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
