Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: Med Surg • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/16/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, nights • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide direct patient care and delegation to patient care technicians • Work every other weekend • No on-call responsibilities • Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by physician-authorized plan of care • Provide direct resident care including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms • Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in updating/revising plans in collaboration with team members • Process physician/provider orders and perform physician-ordered care accurately and in a timely manner • Follow up regarding medication changes and order clarifications • Care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients using basic medical/surgical knowledge • Maintain knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines • 2+ years of Med Surg experience required • Travel work experience highly preferred • Epic experience highly preferred • Required certifications: BLS (AHA) • Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification • Skills checklist current to 1 year and 2 supervisory reference forms within last two years required • Candidates must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing a full range of medical and surgical services to the community.
