Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: Telemetry • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/23/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, nights • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 2 years of nursing experience required • First-time travelers accepted • BLS and ACLS certifications required • Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms • Weekend coverage required every other weekend (6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks) • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed • Patient ratio of 5:1 for all shifts • 24 hours of orientation provided • Adult-only telemetry unit (no pediatric care required) • Skills required: telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Must be comfortable with various procedures including feeding tube care, blood product administration, central line management, wound care, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care • ASAP start required • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions • Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of signing contract • Two supervisor references required Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit with 44 beds and serves a daily census of 32 patients. The facility features a large orthopedic program including total joint procedures, along with colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery. The unit provides extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility is equipped with modern technology including patient lifts, PCA pumps, telemetry monitoring systems, and capnography equipment to ensure comprehensive patient care.
