Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: Med Surg • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/16/2026 • Duration: 8 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, nights • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • 8-week contract assignment • Looking for LOCAL travelers • Epic experience required • Free parking provided • One (1) year of nursing experience required • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families • Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update plan of care • Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation • Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs • Required certifications: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) • Required education: Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing • Preferred education: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing Facility: This healthcare system is a comprehensive academic medical center that provides advanced patient care, medical education, and research services.
