Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be indicated on submission) • 13-week assignment length • Weekend hours required every other weekend • No call requirements • May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs • Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed) • 20-bed unit caring for Med/Surg patients • Equipment includes Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine • Electronic medical record system: EPIC • Required: Current RN License eligible for Missouri licensure, BLS from AHA only • Preferred: ACLS from AHA only • Minimum 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required • Dress code: Black scrubs, no open-toed shoes • Must be willing to provide care to diverse patient population • Physical demands include standing and walking most of shift, lifting and turning patients with assistance • Utilizes nursing process for patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation • Coordinates patient care with ancillary departments Facility: This healthcare facility has served the South St. Louis County area for more than 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care.
