Job Description

The Medical Surgical Nurse will coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching. This role requires leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate total patient care.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high standards of nursing practice.
• Act as a backup Charge Nurse as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years recent Medical Surgical Rehabilitation experience.
• Charge RN experience required.
• Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA) required.
• Must have Vermont state nursing license.
