Job Description: Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg / Telemetry
Are you a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse seeking an exciting travel opportunity in a fast-paced hospital environment? We are currently hiring experienced Travel Registered Nurses - Med Surg / Telemetry to join our team. In this role, you'll provide expert care to patients on medical-surgical and telemetry units, monitoring their conditions and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Monitoring: Assess, monitor, and record patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health conditions. Travel Registered Nurses in Med Surg / Telemetry must be skilled in identifying changes in patient status and responding quickly.
• Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Telemetry Management: Interpret cardiac rhythms and report irregularities to physicians or charge nurses promptly.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other nurses to coordinate patient care plans and treatment goals.
• Patient Education: Teach patients and families about discharge instructions, medication management, and lifestyle modifications for recovery.
• Documentation: Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Adaptability: Adjust quickly to different facility protocols and electronic health record systems as a traveling nurse.
Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg or Telemetry experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
• Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work in various healthcare settings.
