Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: CVOR • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/09/2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, days • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CVOR Job Details: • Work a varied work schedule with call requirements • Assist physicians with advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures including cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use, trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, cardiac output assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions • Perform and interpret various cardiac and vascular lab tests • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards • Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate individualized plans of care utilizing assessment data and multidisciplinary team input • Provide direct patient care through coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities • Document all nursing care activities legibly, timely and in accordance with policy • Supervise and provide direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel • Participate in professional development activities including education, orientation, and mentoring when appropriate • Must maintain current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification • Minimum one year RN experience required • New operating room nurses must complete Perioperative Academy curriculum and Banner RN Perioperative Services Competency Tool within first year • Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to area of practice • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required with experience in specialty area within past 12 months • Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred • One year of operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience preferred Facility: This medical center is part of a comprehensive healthcare system that provides advanced cardiovascular surgical services.
