Estimated Weekly Salary • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570 - $1680 per week Key Job Details – OR Tech Travel Contract • Job Title: Operating Room (OR) Tech / Surgical Technologist • Location: Bangor, ME 04401 (Maine healthcare jobs) • Employment Type: Travel Contract • Duration: 13 weeks • Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR) • Shift: Day Shift with call rotation • Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts • Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week • Start Date: February 16, 2026 Qualifications – Surgical Technologist Requirements • Graduate of an accredited Trade or Technical School (Surgical Technology program preferred) • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an OR Tech, Surgical Technologist, or Scrub Tech Operating Room Tech Responsibilities • Assist surgeons and the surgical team by preparing and maintaining a sterile operating room environment • Ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and functioning properly • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team during procedures • Scrub, gown, and glove self, surgeon, and assistants according to sterile technique • Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with circulator before and after procedures • Assist with draping and maintaining the sterile field throughout surgery • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during operations • Support terminal cleaning of the operating room and preparation of instruments for sterilization • Help train and mentor new OR Techs and students in the surgical department Experience the best of Maine healthcare while advancing your surgical technologist career in Bangor.
