Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 02/23/2026 • Duration: 11 weeks • 40 hours per week • Shift: 8 hours, days • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Provide assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care in acute patient setting • Deliver holistic and individualized care to patients in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit • Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends • Minimal call required on weekends depending on departmental needs • 32 hours of orientation required • Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Daily census of approximately 15 patients • Work with 4 operating rooms, 1 endoscopy procedure room, 6 PACU bays, and 14 preop/phase 2 bays • Required certifications: California RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross) • Minimum 2 years of experience required • Epic charting system experience required • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing • Perform procedures including urology, general surgery, robotics, gynecology, ENT, orthopedics, plastic surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, and GI procedures • Skills required include arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition, blood product administration, central line care, IV management, conscious sedation, and post-epidural management • Complete non-billable modules during orientation averaging 1-5 hours Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical and procedural department with modern post-anesthesia care capabilities.
