PCU RN Job Details – Aurora, CO
• Location: Aurora, Colorado (80045) – Denver metro area
• Unit: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) – 36 beds, expanding to 51
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/16/2026 – End: 5/18/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, per unit needs
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratios: 3-4:1
• Scrub Color: Navy
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Active RN license in Colorado or Compact State (required for Colorado nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in BMT, hematology/oncology, or Progressive Care Unit
• AHA BLS certification
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
• Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome if experience requirements are met
PCU RN Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy, biotherapies, stem cell transplants, and CAR-T therapies
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapies, monitor for adverse reactions, and manage treatment side effects
• Perform central line and port care, blood product administration, and manage acute oncologic emergencies (e.g., tumor lysis syndrome, sepsis, anaphylaxis)
• Implement neutropenic precautions and monitor for complications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care
• Float between similar units as needed to support facility requirements
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic
