Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg in Slayton, MN

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting in Minnesota. This role includes rotating day and night shifts and requires the ability to float between Med/Surg and Emergency Department as needed. Candidates must have strong Med/Surg, ER, and charge nurse experience. An active Minnesota license is required at submission. Assignment Details • Location: Minnesota • Contract Length: 13 weeks • Start Date: January 25, 2026 • Schedule: 3x12s – rotating days and nights • Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week • Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds) • Ratios: Med/Surg 1:3 • Floating: Between Med/Surg and Emergency Department Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg and ER patients • Perform patient assessments and manage acute and chronic conditions • Serve in charge nurse role as needed • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately • Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies • Document care using EPIC • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams • Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards Requirements • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Minnesota license required at submission • Experience required in Med/Surg, Emergency Department, and Charge Nurse roles • Ability to float between Med/Surg and ER • Required Certifications: • BLS (AHA) • ACLS (AHA) • TNCC • PALS (AHA) preferred • Completion of Med/Surg and ER skills checklists required • Must meet all compliance and credentialing requirements • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills Additional Information • Charting System: EPIC • Scrubs: Any color • Housing options may be available and can be discussed during interview This travel assignment is ideal for RNs seeking experience in a small hospital / CAH environment, with high-acuity exposure, floating opportunities, and a balanced rotating schedule.
