Job Description and Requirements • Specialty: Med Surg • Discipline: RN • Start Date: ASAP • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, days • Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - MS/Stepdown Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex under general supervision • Must have travel experience and stepdown experience required • Preceptor and charge experience preferred • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Monitor physiological data and observe patient manifestations, intervening when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products • Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge planning • Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate • Required certifications: Current RN License (Oklahoma or multistate compact eNLC) and Current BLS from American Heart Association • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred • Strong communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients Facility: This major medical center is a leading academic healthcare institution that provides comprehensive medical services and serves as a teaching hospital.
