Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) assignment in Hawaii requiring a HI RN license and recent acute care experience.
Details
• Work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) that includes 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
• Patient population includes cardiac telemetry and step-down ICU cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU
• Utilizes Meditech for charting, Pyxis for medication administration, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week on varied shifts after orientation
• Floating to all acute units in-house required, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
• No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment
• At least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS and NIHSS certifications preferred
Additional Information
• Duties include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring and strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar testing
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment
• Arrival in Hawaii required before assignment for Employee Health check
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Orientation provided during the first week
• Scrubs are required attire
