Travel Nursing Job Details • Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 (Southeastern New Mexico) • Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) • Setting: General Medical-Surgical Inpatient Unit • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 09/15/2025 – End: 12/15/2025) • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) • Hours per Week: 36 • Patient Ratio: 1:6 • Scrub Color: Any color • EMR: MedHost • Floating and Call: Required • Blocked Scheduling: May be accommodated (please specify in application) • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,570 - $1,680 Registered Nurse Qualifications • Active and unencumbered RN license (New Mexico or compact state) • Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (PALS preferred) • Ability to float to other hospital units as needed • Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel nurses Med/Surg RN Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians • Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management • Float to other units and participate in on-call rotation as required Experience the warmth of Carlsbad’s community and the breathtaking landscapes of southeastern New Mexico while advancing your travel nursing career.
