The unit consists of 20 beds and is staffed by a combination of registered nurses and patient care technicians. The night shift includes 1 charge RN, 5 nurses, and 2 patient care technicians. Patient ratios are 1:4, ensuring personalized care for each patient. The unit is equipped with telemetry, transport monitors, suction devices, feeding pumps, tracheostomy care, bipap, cpap, heated high-flow devices, chest tubes, Foley catheters, pacer wires, IV pumps, and SCD pumps. Electronic medical records are managed through a specific system. Candidates should have experience with chest tube placement, chest tube removal, pacer wire removal, and performing 12 lead EKGs.
