Travel School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Soldotna, Alaska in Soldotna, AK

A travel nursing opportunity is available for two Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide essential healthcare services in school settings across Alaska. These full-time roles focus on supporting student health and wellness from the start of the assignment through the end of the school year. Position 1 is based in the Central Kenai/Soldotna area, primarily serving an elementary school. Position 2 is an itinerant role covering a broader region near Homer, Alaska, including one elementary school, three K-12 schools, and one middle school. Both positions require flexible travel within the assigned areas and a passion for working with children and adolescents. Key responsibilities include: • Delivering nursing care and assessments to students • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed • Collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers • Managing health records and ensuring compliance with relevant policies • Responding to student emergencies and chronic health needs Qualifications and experience: • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license • Experience or interest in school nursing preferred • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Flexibility to travel within assigned areas as required This role offers the chance to make a positive impact on student health while experiencing the unique environment of Alaska’s schools.
