Job Details
• M/S Tele RN Nights & EOW – 36hrs.
• Must be able to read telemetry strips.
• Unit Name: Davenport 5 - Surgical Stepdown Unit.
• Two Med/Surgical Units: one 15 bed unit and one 8 bed Surgical Stepdown Unit.
• Floating required: Yes.
• Rotating shifts required: No.
• Years of experience required: 2+ years.
• Skill sets required: telemetry monitoring, management of chest tube, NGT, epidurals, and capnography.
• Skill sets preferred: management of arterial lines and management of neo-synephrine.
• Clinician to patient ratio: 6-10 patients per PCA and 3-5 patients per RN; Stepdown ratios are 2-3 per RN.
• Patient population includes post-surgical patients from General, GYN, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, Oral, Plastics, and Trauma surgeries.
• Bed count: 23.
• Census: 23.
• EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
Job Requirements
• Current Massachusetts RN License required.
• 2+ years of telemetry nursing experience required.
• Ability to read telemetry strips.
• Management of chest tube, NGT, epidurals, and capnography required.
• Preferred skills include management of arterial lines and neo-synephrine.
Schedule Information
• Night shifts and every other weekend (EOW) schedule.
• 36 hours per week.
• No rotating shifts required.
Unit Specific Information
