Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This travel nursing opportunity in Chapel Hill, NC, offers a dynamic role on a telemetry and med-surg unit, specializing in neuro/stroke patient care. Nurses will work 12-hour night shifts (7 PM 7:30 AM), every other week, including holidays as needed. Float flexibility across multiple facilities within the network is required, ensuring a versatile and engaging work experience. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Minimum 2 years RN experience; first-time travel nurses welcome • Active BLS and NIH certifications • Proficient with EPIC electronic health record system • Telemetry experience with remote monitoring and on-unit monitoring preferred • Skilled in feeding tube care and management • Competency in accessing ports, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and IV starts • Experience with CVA patients and nasal cannula oxygen delivery • Familiar with isolation precautions, wound care, and wound VAC management • Comfortable managing a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 • Must pass a required EKG exam specific to the health system Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse inpatient population, focusing on patients with neurological deficits and multiple comorbidities • Monitor telemetry data and respond promptly to changes • Manage complex line care and medication administration • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes • Adhere to facility policies and safety protocols, ensuring excellent standards of care • Remain flexible to floating across affiliated facilities within the health network Location:Chapel Hill, NC, is a vibrant college town known for its rich cultural scene, excellent dining options, and outdoor amenities.
