Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with KY or compact license and EPIC experience for a night shift assignment requiring advanced dysrhythmia competency.
Responsibilities
• Work in the Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 1:4
• Care for patients with cardiac, neuro stepdown, renal, orthopedic, and respiratory conditions
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 19:00 to 07:00
• Use of telemetry and advanced cardiac monitoring equipment
• Epic EMR required for documentation
• Travelers may be required to float to different units
• Responsibilities include interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias, rapid response, and care of patients with feeding tubes, tracheostomies, and surgical drains
• Administer blood products, titrate cardiac drips, and manage IVs, PICCs, and central lines
• Participate in orientation and annual training modules as required
• Return staff must wait 2 years before eligible to travel with this facility again
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Must provide a copy of driver's license and SSN for consideration
Requirements
• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry or comparable acute care experience
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia exam for competency assessment
• Two professional references required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel nurse pay
