Job Requirements
• Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure in North Carolina
• Certifications Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience Requirements: Minimum of 18 months of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience; experience with tracheostomy care, cardiac GTT, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, and management of central lines
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license, ability to float within Region 3 facilities, strong communication and teamwork skills, physical ability to perform essential nursing functions

Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients, including assessments, care planning, and implementation of treatments
• Monitor patient conditions closely, utilizing telemetry equipment and interpreting cardiac rhythms accurately
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage central lines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including CNAs, RTs, and support staff, to ensure patient needs are met
• Document patient progress and care activities thoroughly within the EMR system, maintaining compliance with hospital policies
