Responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of all aspects of Vascular Access patient care. The Vascular Access Clinical Specialist has responsibility and accountability for assisting with oversight and monitoring the assessment, planning, implementation, education and evaluation of vascular access devices (VADs) (eg. CVCs, PICCs. Midlines and PIV sites) throughout the Montefiore Nyack Hospital. As a Clinical resource and consultant, personnel and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective, safe and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Job Qualifications: 1. Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing, BSN preferred. 2. Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in nursing and IV insertion. Experience with Vascular Access Devices preferred. 3. Training/Certification: National Certification related to IV nursing preferred. 4. Licensure: Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse • Other: Demonstrated expertise in IV Therapy, strong interpersonal skills, principles of adult teaching/learning Location: Montefiore Nyack · IV Therapy Schedule: Per Diem, Days, 7:30am- 4:00pm
