Employment Type:* Full time *Shift:* 12 Hour Day Shift *Description:* *Position Purpose* In the Emergency Department (ED) at *Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center*, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients. • Engage in didactic learning sessions designed to enhance your understanding of Emergency Department (ED) nursing, with a focus on utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab. • Pursue certification as a trauma nurse, with opportunities for professional growth in a Level 1 Trauma Center*.* • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is required. • Valid RN license in Connecticut • Must have one or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience. • Important Consideration: This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training as an Emergency Room nurse. Candidates must be able to function independently in the Emergency Room • Full-Time – Weekends Only – 12-Hr Day Shift. • Weekend Only Program is set from 7:00 p.m. You will work every weekend, minus one per quarter. You will work a total of 24 Hours, which will consist of two 12-hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts, depending on the unit. • If a Holiday does not fall within these hours, it is not considered part of the weekend schedule. • Colleagues will receive Specialized increased Weekend differential pay during the 24 hours worked, along with an additional bonus consisting of 6 hours of pay at base salary, totaling 30 hours of pay.
