
Women’s Health & Obstetrics NP – CNM (Locums – Benefits) in Oregon City, OR
Job Description
A healthcare facility in Pendleton, Oregon is seeking an experienced OBGYN / Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This role offers a weekday schedule, competitive hourly compensation, and the opportunity to practice full-scope women’s health and obstetric care in a collaborative hospital-based setting.
This position is ideal for clinicians with hospital-based OB/GYN or midwifery experience who are comfortable providing prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care with physician support available as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide prenatal care, routine OB visits, and postpartum follow-up
• Manage labor and delivery, including natural and emergency deliveries
• Perform pelvic exams, Pap smears, and reproductive health screenings
• Provide contraception counseling, including IUD and implant placement/removal
• Support OB/GYN physicians during C-sections
• Deliver patient education related to pregnancy, postpartum care, and family planning
• Document care accurately across inpatient and outpatient EMR systems
Schedule & Coverage
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weeknight call required
• One 24-hour weekend call per month
• Approximately 10 shifts per month
Qualifications
• Active Oregon APRN license
• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Women’s Health NP
• Hospital-based women’s health or obstetric experience required
• BLS, ACLS, DEA, and neonatal resuscitation certifications
• Comfortable in inpatient, clinic, and birth center environments
• New graduates not considered
Compensation & Perks
• $95–$150/hr, based on experience and availability
