Position Overview In this essential role, you will report directly to the Nursing Supervisor and focus on delivering person-centered nursing care. Your advanced skills will be crucial in managing complex wound cases and supporting ventilator-dependent residents, with the ultimate goal of enhancing their quality of life. Compensation and Benefits • Base Pay: $38.21 - $44.30 per hour, commensurate with experience. • PM Shift Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM). • NOC Shift Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM). • Weekend Hours Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour for all shifts. • Overtime: Paid for all hours worked over 8 hours in a single day. • Benefits: Comprehensive county benefits for positions at 50% or higher, along with eligibility for the Wisconsin Retirement Pension at 60% or more. Key Responsibilities • Provide personalized nursing care by planning, administering, and evaluating resident care based on individual preferences and care plans. • Deliver expert wound care, including assessment, staging, dressing selection, and ongoing evaluation as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team. • Manage ventilator-dependent and respiratory-compromised residents, ensuring optimal monitoring of ventilator settings in coordination with respiratory therapy. • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' medical and social needs, maintaining effective documentation and communication with healthcare providers. • Accurately record changes in residents' conditions and follow protocols for escalating concerns. • Promote infection control measures and educate team members on maintaining high standards of care. • Supervise and mentor Nursing Assistants, empowering them to provide top-quality care. • Engage in team meetings, actively contributing to care planning and quality improvement initiatives. • Create a safe and functional living environment by adhering to best practices in safety and infection control. Qualifications • A degree in Nursing with a current RN license. • Current BLS/CPR certification (documentation required before starting). • Preferably, experience with wound care and ventilator-dependent patients.
