Position Summary:
As a Wound Care Registered Nurse, you will provide direct and indirect patient care in both inpatient and approved surgical and ambulatory settings. You will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on delivering compassionate care.
Your Responsibilities:
• Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations for patients with wound/ostomy needs.
• Change dressings for patients utilizing Vacuum Assisted Closure (VAC) devices.
• Design and implement personalized patient care plans.
• Assist in managing pressure ulcers and other wound-related issues.
• Collaborate with Wound & Ostomy CNSs on quality improvement and clinician education activities.
Requirements:
• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Valid Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocating.
• BLS-AHA Provider issued card must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Certification in enterostomal therapy preferred.
• Preferred: 3 years hospital experience in acute care, along with prior teaching experience.
