About the Role:
As a Wound Care Registered Nurse, your expertise will be vital in assessing, treating, and monitoring wound conditions. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to enhance resident comfort and improve their quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight of the wound care and prevention program for residents and staff.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with skin issues.
• Administer direct wound care interventions, including dressings, debridement, and irrigation.
• Review and implement updated wound care policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate wound healing progress and treatment efficacy.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on wound care protocols and preventive practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory compliance and reimbursement purposes.

What You’ll Bring:
• A valid state RN nursing license.
• A degree in nursing, epidemiology, biology, or microbiology is preferred.
• At least 2 years of wound care management experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Knowledge of research-backed wound care practices.
• Certification as a Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) is a plus.
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
• Compassion and empathy for residents with complex wound needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
